Bagpiper's Pants

Bagpiper Dennis brought in these pants to sell.

It is July. In Key West. They are wool.

Complimentary Cigar

Apple Bob left this for us in December. It's a cigar that says, "For a good customer."

Since it's now July, apparently we haven't had one!

Pineapple Lamp Bases

What would a coffee shop be without a couple of these?

Vinyl LPs

These are recent additions to our collection, courtesy Cowboy Lee. He got them for .50 cents apiece, and naturally brought them here to Coffee Plantation so that we could play them, only we can't figure out how if he wanted us to upload them to Napster or play them on our iPod.

Anyhow, Cowboy Lee says "one day they'll be valuable." Particularly the Barbara Streisand and Barry Manilow.

The iMac

mac
This is actually Mike Mongo's now. He bought it from Rick, who bought it at a garage sale, for $50, and brought it here to Coffee Plantation, "for the Mac users."

The only problem? It ran Operating System 9, which is about four operating systems behind. So several of our regulars who are part of the Cult of Mac decided to convert it to running OS X. A process which took about a month and included everything from trying to trick to booting off a CD with OS X to replacing the harddrive, and which didn't work.

Since it's still here, apparently the process continues. Stay tuned!

Found at Coffee Plantation!

This is a very specific blog, on a very specific subject matter. All the stuff our customers "leave behind" (ie store with us) at here in Key West at our coffee shop The Coffee Plantation. Here goes!
